BLUE MOSQUE

In this post we visited The Sultan Ahmed Mosque also known as the Blue Mosque. It's nickname 'The Blue Mosque' comes from the blue tiles adorning the walls in the interior. Before entering the mosque, we had to put on a headscarf and take off our shoes. Once we had made our way into the mosque, the view was absolutely breath taking. The tiling design in the interior was beautiful and it was something you wouldn't come across often.

Dungarees have been the height of fashion this summer, which have been seen on many celebrities on both sides of the pond. They have been seen in array of colours, lengths and styles. Dungarees are great because they are comfy and can be warn both casually and smartly. As purple is my favourite colour, as soon as I saw these purple dungarees on ASOS (which were also in the sale too for £16) I just had to have them. I decided to wear a plain white t-shirt underneath my dungarees as in Istanbul it is respectable to have shoulders covered. When wearing this outfit at home, I often opt for a vest top rather than t-shirt underneath. To match my white top, I wore my white Vans trainers. Lastly, to complete the outfit, decided to take my red handbag to keep the outfit colourful as well as colour blocking.

ASIA

Here we have briefly adventured out of Europe and entered Asia. These photos were taken in the garden of the Beylerbeyi Palace. Walking around the palace, there was room after room of beautiful designs fit for a king. Each room was huge filled with expensive furniture and paintings. The gardens were covered in flowers and plants as well as a fountain in the middle. We both said how we couldn't imagine living somewhere like this. 

These light-weight baggy trousers are ideal for the summer month or if you want to cover up while on holiday. These feature an elasticated hem around the ankles which are great for people like me who aren't the tallest people in the world. This prevents the trousers dragging a long the floor as this would damage the garment and wouldn't become a good look. I usual wear these trousers with either flip-flops or sandals, but as this day involved plenty of walking I decided to wear my comfy Vans. I then added a necklace full of spikes to give this outfit an extra bit of edge.

LONDON BY MY HEART

Although we were born and bred in the quiet countryside, we are city girls by heart. People say home is where the heart is but I can't help but feel that my heart belongs in the middle of the hustle and bustle of London. While having a quick browse through the New Look jewellery sale, this necklace suddenly caught my eye. Seeing the word 'London' on the necklace meant I knew I had to buy it as it relates to my life. Anyone who knows me knows how much I'm in love with the big city and hopefully one day I will be able to call London my home again. 

Strolling around our village, I decided to stick to a more casual outfit. Throwing on a baggy jumper over a basic outfit will allow you to look stylish without having to put much thought into it. This jumper is from the Topshop Basic range and is available in a range of colours. I feel this colour of jumper best suits people with dark hair and therefore blonde hair people would need a different coloured jumper to compliment their hair. Dark coloured jeans flatter the darkness of the jumper and white Plimsolls adds a bit of light colour without becoming overpowering. Lastly I decided to add a bold necklace to break up the basic look of the outfit, and what better necklace is there than one with the name of my favourite city.

CONCRETE JUNGLE

 

   

Since a young age I have always been obsessed with all things American, so I am enjoying all the American sports wear in the High Street shops. Being a sportsmen myself, these style of clothes perfectly suit my personality and interests. We couldn't think of a better place for this shoot than at the local sports court. Thankfully the sun was out, although the wind was against us, we couldn't wait to start shooting again. 

The iconic style of the baseball top doesn't just stay on the baseball pitch, both men and women can wear these tops walking down the street while looking fashionable. These tops can be dressed up for going out, but today I have decided to keep it looking casual. Sticking to the American theme, I paired this top with jeans and a pair of Vans as Americans are famous for their 't-shirt and jeans' combination.

LONDON FASHION WEEK

London Fashion Week is one of our favourite events that we always look forward to. A week dedicated to fashion, models and catwalks is our idea of heaven. As well as this, an additional weekend is added onto the end of LFW for even more fashion. This week witnessed the bold, the bright and Kellogg's cereal brands (We're not kidding, check out Anya Hindmarch AW14 collection). Being a big fan of sequins, one of our personal favourites was a collection designed by Zeyne Kartal. We also fell in love with Ashley Williams collection while watching the models strut down the catwalk. 

All in all we both wished that we could afford all the clothes we saw on the catwalks. We can also safely say that designers defiantly thought outside the box when it came to inspiration this season. Above are a few snaps that we took during both London Fashion Week and London Fashion Weekend. Now all we have to do is wait until September to do it all over again.

A CITY PARK

February is here and it is time to think about our Spring wardrobe. This may come as a bit of a shock to us English folk as it is currently dark, cold, windy and pouring with rain outside. However, in the high street shops winter wear is making it's way to the sale rails and the S/S 14 clothing is being placed on the manikins in the shop windows. Although at the moment when we step out the house we're equipped with hat, scarf, coat and umbrellas, they always say preparation is key. So it's time to 'prepare' for the coming season ... and it's any excuse for another shopping spree. 

This outfit is a good way to dress up a LBD. I think a LBD is an universal piece as you can dress it up in many ways for a range of occasions. A light denim jacket is great for the Spring time weather. It will keep you warm if the weather is still slightly chilly, while not being too bulky or thick. Add a long scarf and allow it to hang down over the jacket. I have chosen a light coloured scarf with black hearts as I feel it works well with this outfit. This light colour matches the lightness of the jacket while keeping it suitable for spring, and the black hearts match the LBD. Finish the outfit with simple white Vans to keep it looking casual.

STREET VIEW

After strolling through the local town, we came across what we thought was a quiet road. It was just typical that when we started shooting, cars drove down the road every minute. This is a great casual look that keeps you warm throughout the winter months. The cardigan is easy to throw on if you are walking to the shops but still nice enough to wear when you are meeting up with your friends. I prefer to wear jeggings over jeans because I find them a lot more comfortable and I don't enjoy having my movement restricted (probably the dancer in me). Throw on a bag to complete the look, and by the way I don't what my feet are doing in the last photo!
