MIRINA FAMOUS COLLECTIONS

Firstly, thank you Mirina Collections for choosing me as a Brand Ambassador for you beautiful jewellery. This stunning statement piece is great to use both day and night and can brighten up any outfit. The gems within this necklace change colour depending on what light you are in at the time. This means your outfit will be ever changing which will keep it looking fresh and exciting.

As my statement piece is so colourful, I decided to stick to a simple little black dress and boots. This allows the accessory to stand out even more. Wearing boots instead of heels makes this a great outfit if you need it to go from day to night. If it's still abit cold out, throw over a fabulous faux fur coat to finish the look off. I chose a pastel grey colour coat which I found on Depop to match the colours and silver frame of the necklace.

A CITY PARK

February is here and it is time to think about our Spring wardrobe. This may come as a bit of a shock to us English folk as it is currently dark, cold, windy and pouring with rain outside. However, in the high street shops winter wear is making it's way to the sale rails and the S/S 14 clothing is being placed on the manikins in the shop windows. Although at the moment when we step out the house we're equipped with hat, scarf, coat and umbrellas, they always say preparation is key. So it's time to 'prepare' for the coming season ... and it's any excuse for another shopping spree.

This outfit is a good way to dress up a LBD. I think a LBD is an universal piece as you can dress it up in many ways for a range of occasions. A light denim jacket is great for the Spring time weather. It will keep you warm if the weather is still slightly chilly, while not being too bulky or thick. Add a long scarf and allow it to hang down over the jacket. I have chosen a light coloured scarf with black hearts as I feel it works well with this outfit. This light colour matches the lightness of the jacket while keeping it suitable for spring, and the black hearts match the LBD. Finish the outfit with simple white Vans to keep it looking casual.

CITY LIFE

Photos by Laura Howell

This is our first shoot in the big city and for both of us, we couldn't wait to shoot here. We both studied our Master degrees in London and moving here just after my 21st birthday was by far the best decision I've made. Both growing up on the same road in a small countryside village, London was a big change for us. We love the Westminster area, and it is a great place to go to as most of London's famous landmarks are only a short walk away.

The coat in this post is faux fur as we are strongly against wearing real fur being animal lovers. It works well dressing up basic outfits while keeping yourself really warm. Personally I feel this nude colour is best for girls with dark hair, although it would still look great with lighter hair. I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit simple as I see the coat as a statement piece. Therefore I wore a little plain black dress underneath which was a bargain at only £5. As well as this, I added plain black heels to keep the rest of the outfit simple.

ALL DOLLED UP

So here it is, Elle Petite's first travel adventure! We touched down in Rome, Italy on a Saturday afternoon excited to see what this beautiful city had to offer. After dodging the crazy traffic with our suitcases, and trying not to forget that they drive on the other side of the road, we made it to our lovely hotel. A much needed night out was in order as our day had been fulled with trains, planes and tube rides. What better way was there to relax with a couple of cocktails while looking at the beautiful sites and hot Italian men!

This body con dress allows a simple LBD look from the front with all the dramatic detail and neon colours at the back. A bright coloured statement necklace could be added to this outfit, preferably to match one of the colours on the back, to make the dress look less plain from the front. You may also notice from looking at the pictures above we like to indulge in the Estee Lauder counters. Their luxurious skincare and cosmetics collections may be a tad pricey, but they are a good investment for great looking skin. Also, I've been a fan of Bed Head lip products since receiving a few of these in a gift bag at my first Clothes Show Live over 10 years ago. Even though at the time people my age had only started wearing a little bit of make-up, I was performing on stage on a regular occasion so it was great for show make-up.
