A DISNEY KIND OF DAY

Ah, Disney. The happiest place on Earth. A place where you can forget your troubles, ride rollercoasters until you feel dizzy and eat Mickey Mouse shaped food all day. What more could you want? The one thing I do find slightly difficult is finding the perfect outfit for the trip. You want to wear something Disney (of course), something nice and something you can walk 1000 miles in without your feet hurting . My feet were definitely in pain by the end as we managed to clock up nearly 40,000 steps each. That was according to my phone which was in my bag so I don't know how accurate that was as we could of easily done more.

So first things first, Minnie ears. These ones I did buy from Disneyland in California, however they are available from all of the parks. I chose the lilac ones as purple is my favourite colour but I was still keeping it classic. Primark have such an amazing Disney range at the moment, and best of all, it's so CHEAP. I picked up this top with my life moto on it for just a tenner. For Disney, that's super cheap. The shorts I'm wearing are denim, which were ok but next time I will definitely go for something comfier. Being an adrenaline junkie, I was all about the big rides (and the fireworks at the end of the day). So sitting on all those rides in denim shorts soon became a bit uncomfortable. I finished off the outfit with some American 90s vibes. Calf-high American style socks and some Nike high tops, that remind me of Marty McFly in Back to the Future 2. Unfortantly they didn't tie up themselves ... I thought autolacing shoes we're sooo 2015 Doc?!

POSTCARD FROM ISTANBUL

This post is a little different to our usual posts. Although we have a passion for fashion, our other desire in life is to travel and see the world. Last year we decided to visit Istanbul in Turkey, the largest European city that stretches across both Europe and Asia. We wanted to explore a destination that had a different culture to what we see in England, because we are always thirsty to learn about aspects of the world you wouldn't see sitting at home. We stayed at a beautiful hotel called Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Istanbul - Old Town. This facility was filled with boutiques, a spa, a gym and we also got a complimentary cookie on arrival.

During out time in Istanbul we visited many different locations, learning out their history and culture. These places included palaces, mosques, Grand Bazaar as well as crossing over the Bosphorus Bridge to Asia. It was lovely exploring a city that was vastly different to the cities that we have grown up in. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting photos outside to destinations that we visited. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque and the Beylerbeyi Palace. Hope you enjoy!

DEEP V

This playsuit from Topshop features a deep V neckline, elasticated waistline and flared shorts. Personally, if you're wanting to go braless with this number I would suggest it would be best for us ladies who aren't blessed with the biggest bosom. This is because the material is a little slippery when placed onto the skin so it may move around a lot. I would wear this outfit more in the nighttime, or if you are going somewhere like a festival. I did wear this to Radio One's Big Weekend (with a bra this time) earlier this summer, as we all know festivals are one big fashion catwalk.

Due to the playsuit being plain black, a variety of gold or colourful accessories can be added to jazz this outfit up. I chose to add gold jewelry from New Look and Hollister, however any colourful jewelry and accessories will perfect match this garment. As well as the freedom of using pretty much any accessories you want with this, it can be the same for the shoes. You could wear bright shoes to match your bright jewelry, gold shoes to match your gold jewelry or nude/tan shoes like I have chosen to do. I've seen these shoes, or similar ones, featured a lot on fashionable instagram pages. I couldn't believe my luck when I stumbled across these as I was walking through Primark. 2 pairs left and one of them were a size 4, perfect! And being a neutral colour, I know I will be getting a lot of use out of these.

I WANT CANDY

Waking up with the sun shining through the window can only mean Spring has finally arrived. Although in England we know fully well it won't be long until the rain returns, there's no harm making the most of the sun while we can. This means baring our pale arms and legs hoping to get the slightest amount of Vitamin D to our skin. It was time to dust off our sunglasses and leave the house without clutching a coat and scarf.

Spring has always been my favourite season for fashion. I am in love with pastel colours and colourful garments. Mix and matching colours is always a great way to make fashion fun and always gets me into a summery mood. For this outfit I decided to match yellow and navy together to contrast the lightness and darkness of the two colours. Although matching colours in outfits must be completed with caution, it doesn't mean you have to stick to similar colours. It can be light with dark, pastel with bold or two complete different bright colours together. It will mean lots of experimenting but who doesn't love a little fashion show in our bedrooms! A small brown belt was added to the navy skater skirt to break up the two colours. For the rest of the outfit I decided to use neutral colours as I feel more colour would become too much. Pink shoes, bag and sunglasses completed the outfit while sticking to the colourful theme.

LONDON BY MY HEART

Although we were born and bred in the quiet countryside, we are city girls by heart. People say home is where the heart is but I can't help but feel that my heart belongs in the middle of the hustle and bustle of London. While having a quick browse through the New Look jewellery sale, this necklace suddenly caught my eye. Seeing the word 'London' on the necklace meant I knew I had to buy it as it relates to my life. Anyone who knows me knows how much I'm in love with the big city and hopefully one day I will be able to call London my home again.

Strolling around our village, I decided to stick to a more casual outfit. Throwing on a baggy jumper over a basic outfit will allow you to look stylish without having to put much thought into it. This jumper is from the Topshop Basic range and is available in a range of colours. I feel this colour of jumper best suits people with dark hair and therefore blonde hair people would need a different coloured jumper to compliment their hair. Dark coloured jeans flatter the darkness of the jumper and white Plimsolls adds a bit of light colour without becoming overpowering. Lastly I decided to add a bold necklace to break up the basic look of the outfit, and what better necklace is there than one with the name of my favourite city.

BALANCING ACT

Spring has officially arrived, but here in England there is still a chill in the air. This means it isn't often that we can leave the house without a coat or jacket. Most retail shops are currently displaying their Spring/Summer clothes on their rails, however it isn't near warm enough to wear them. This doesn't mean we can't mix the latest clothes with our winter wear.

As this jacket is fake leather, it means it can be used as a waterproof coat. England is notorious for the rain and therefore this jacket will become very handy. As the rest of the outfit has dark or basic colours, I chose to add a pop of bright colour with my jumper. I made sure a small section of my jumper was pulled out past the sleeves of the jacket to allow more colour to be shown. Bright colours were seen regularly on the catwalks of every fashion week around the world. Although it isn't quite warm enough for bright coloured summer clothes, we can still integrate it into our outfits to stay up to date with fashion. To match the jacket I wore dark jeans and white shoes as the jumper added enough bright colour to the outfit.
