CAMEL & TURTLE

As the temperature drops, it's officially time to dust off our winter coats ready to face the next season upon us. I think it's a great idea to have a neutral colour when picking a coat as that way you will always be able to wear it over any outfit. I came across this coat in the petite section in New Look. The style of the coat gives it a smart look which means this coat will always make you look fashionable while you are trying to stay warm. Sometime coats can leave us looking a bit frumpy but this coat is styled and fitted smartly, and therefore will leave us looking lovely.

As it has only just entered December, England isn't at it's coldest yet (unfortunately) but it does mean we don't need to dig out our hat, scarves and gloves just yet. Therefore, to keep the chill off my neck I've opted for a turtle neck jumper. This jumper from Topshop's petite section fits perfectly with the lapels of the coat. Nothing beats a cosy jumper during the thick of winter to keep you warm. To finish off this casual look, I added a pair of ripped skinny jean and brown ankle boots. Now you are winter ready!

LONDON BY MY HEART

Although we were born and bred in the quiet countryside, we are city girls by heart. People say home is where the heart is but I can't help but feel that my heart belongs in the middle of the hustle and bustle of London. While having a quick browse through the New Look jewellery sale, this necklace suddenly caught my eye. Seeing the word 'London' on the necklace meant I knew I had to buy it as it relates to my life. Anyone who knows me knows how much I'm in love with the big city and hopefully one day I will be able to call London my home again.

Strolling around our village, I decided to stick to a more casual outfit. Throwing on a baggy jumper over a basic outfit will allow you to look stylish without having to put much thought into it. This jumper is from the Topshop Basic range and is available in a range of colours. I feel this colour of jumper best suits people with dark hair and therefore blonde hair people would need a different coloured jumper to compliment their hair. Dark coloured jeans flatter the darkness of the jumper and white Plimsolls adds a bit of light colour without becoming overpowering. Lastly I decided to add a bold necklace to break up the basic look of the outfit, and what better necklace is there than one with the name of my favourite city.

BALANCING ACT

Spring has officially arrived, but here in England there is still a chill in the air. This means it isn't often that we can leave the house without a coat or jacket. Most retail shops are currently displaying their Spring/Summer clothes on their rails, however it isn't near warm enough to wear them. This doesn't mean we can't mix the latest clothes with our winter wear.

As this jacket is fake leather, it means it can be used as a waterproof coat. England is notorious for the rain and therefore this jacket will become very handy. As the rest of the outfit has dark or basic colours, I chose to add a pop of bright colour with my jumper. I made sure a small section of my jumper was pulled out past the sleeves of the jacket to allow more colour to be shown. Bright colours were seen regularly on the catwalks of every fashion week around the world. Although it isn't quite warm enough for bright coloured summer clothes, we can still integrate it into our outfits to stay up to date with fashion. To match the jacket I wore dark jeans and white shoes as the jumper added enough bright colour to the outfit.

LONDON FASHION WEEK

London Fashion Week is one of our favourite events that we always look forward to. A week dedicated to fashion, models and catwalks is our idea of heaven. As well as this, an additional weekend is added onto the end of LFW for even more fashion. This week witnessed the bold, the bright and Kellogg's cereal brands (We're not kidding, check out Anya Hindmarch AW14 collection). Being a big fan of sequins, one of our personal favourites was a collection designed by Zeyne Kartal. We also fell in love with Ashley Williams collection while watching the models strut down the catwalk.

All in all we both wished that we could afford all the clothes we saw on the catwalks. We can also safely say that designers defiantly thought outside the box when it came to inspiration this season. Above are a few snaps that we took during both London Fashion Week and London Fashion Weekend. Now all we have to do is wait until September to do it all over again.

DOWN BY THE LAKE

The good thing about being in the countryside is that we have views like this as soon as we step out the door. Although we love living away in the big city, it is always nice to come back home to these views. Late on a Sunday afternoon, we decided to head off to see the horses. As it was quiet with only a farmer in sight, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to shoot.

Shopping in my local Tesco, I came across this cute jumper that I couldn't resist. As rabbits are my favourite animal (as well as pandas), I couldn't leave the shop without it. The rabbit on this jumper has a lovely fluffy texture and is covered in see-through sequins. This casual outfit is great for occasions such as strolling around with friends or if you want to look cute for that daytime date. Jeggings allows you to stay comfy if you are out and about for a long period of time. Finish this look with a pair of Uggs boots to prevent painful feet at the end of the day. Here I'm wearing Primark's version of Uggs which only cost £5. This is ideal for muddy strolls as you can through them out if needed to, which you can't do with the real versions.

GREEN DAY

Firstly please excuse the windswept hair, we were battling the wind during this shoot. It was back to our sleepy village in the middle of the countryside for our next post. As it was a Sunday afternoon, it didn't take us long to find somewhere quiet. This means there were no passers-by to distract us and I think we completed this shoot in record time
(which was great because we were freezing).

This outfit takes inspiration from the classic school uniform, but far more trendier of course. The funny thing is our jumper from Middle School was this exact colour so it does feel like I'm heading back to school when I wear this. I love matching a collar with a jumper, which has been high on trend for a while now. This chunky knit keeps you warm and cosy and I feel it is great value for money at just £10 in the New Look sale. It comes in a variety of colours, but I felt this colour best matched my hair. If you feel this look is too 'school uniform', swap the skirt and tights with dark blue jeggings and white plimsolls to match the collar.
